PALM Sunday service was conducted by the Revd Jim Mullin. Elizabeth, Alan and Eddie were the musicians and the singing of all the hymns, was led by Anne. Joy welcomed every one and gave out the notices. Happy Birthday was sung to Muriel and little Sara Louise. The service opened with Jim reading from Matthew Chap: 21 vv 6-11, which was the story of Palm Sunday. Elizabeth and the puppets ably assisted by Myra, followed with a sketch on reading the Bible, and Jim followed this with a talk to the children about Jesus rising up from the cross. George and Rachel took up the offering along with the singing of two hymns.
Don then read from Peter, Chap: 4 vv 1-11 followed by singing. After more prayer, the theme for Jim's sermon was, 'made for mission'. Elizabeth spoke about her mission in life and her forthcoming visit to Thailand. The service then closed with Holy Communion.
