THE Sunday morning service was led by Rob Booth. There was a time of praise and worship. Helen Atkinson led the young people in a quiz relating to the people in the Bible who met Jesus. Julie Peacock read from John 20 verses 19-29. Rob Booth then spoke on the theme 'the Risen Lord Jesus' how he appeared to the disciples after the resurrection and the personal relationship we can have with him today.
The 5.30pm prayer meeting was a time of praise and intercessory prayer. The 6.30pm service was led by pastor Lowman, Psalm 19 was read and Keith Waters spoke on Mark 10, the story of blind Bartimaeus and his healing. There was also a quiet time of prayer.
On Monday morning, the Jabez Prayer Group met in the vestry looking at issues and concerns with the Churches Together in Ely.
On Tuesday evening, the CTI E held its annual meeting at the Olive Tree Fellowship. Wednesday evening the annual meeting and CMM of the Countess Church was held when members were voted into the church membership. Clubs started back after Easter. Next Sunday we will focus on FEBA and the evening service is for the youth of our church and everyone from local churches is invited to attend.
