THE newly-formed management committee met on February 16. The proposal is that the club will meet in the pavilion on Mondays; Years 7 and 8 from 6 - 7.15pm and Years 9 to 11 from 7.30 - 9pm. A fee of £1 per session will be charged. A grant application to the Local Network Fund is being put together, but in the meantime the parish council will apply for the release of funds held over from the former youth club to pay for the first term's staffing fees. The parish council also pledged to provide meeting facilities for the first term. It is hoped that further funding will be released later on to fund an "engagement project" such as a 10-week wheels project (up to 14 youngsters on safe motorcycling, go-karting or quad bikes) or a 10-week Mepal Outdoor Centre taster (bowling, skating, swimming, climbing, etc.)
