YOUNGSTERS from Spring Meadow School, in Ely, took their parents, carers, brothers and sisters to Larkfields Centre, on Saturday, to show them how to produce a work of art.
Artists Nick Dewitt and Beth Bronson have been working with the 81 Year 1 pupils at the school over the last term.
Nick said he drew a series of fruit and vegetables drawings using water-based pen and pencils.
The children copied these and used a brush and water to bring the colours to life. Their flower paintings, using the same techniques, can be seen at Waitrose, in Ely.
Nick said: "The experience has given the children a lot of confidence as well as teaching them observation and drawing skills. The technique can be used across all age ranges and abilities.
