OUR worship on Sunday morning soon began to focus on serving God, and our celebration of Holy Communion was seen in terms of enlisting in God's army. There followed a time of prayer as part of the International Day of Prayer for the peace of Jerusalem.
Our visiting speaker, Maurice England (pastor of a sister church near Nottingham) spoke about The Double Portion, from the story of the commissioning of Elisha. A time of prayer ministry followed, including prayers for pastor Patrick Brandon, who is going to Zimbabwe to take part in a conference for leaders of some of our sister churches in that region.
Sunday service: 10.30am. The speaker will be Tim Frost. Crèche and Sunday School will be provided. All are welcome.
