PEGGY Gibbon welcomed members on a very warm afternoon and introduced Steve O`Kane and Fiona, who are folk singers from Essex. Steve is a singer and song writer and he also writes poems. He played guitar and harmonica and sand a mixture of his own songs.
PEGGY Gibbon welcomed members on a very warm afternoon and introduced Steve O`Kane and Fiona, who are folk singers from Essex. Steve is a singer and song writer and he also writes poems. He played guitar and harmonica and sand a mixture of his own songs.With Fiona, he sang traditional folk songs. Fiona sang several solos unaccompanied with members joining in the chorus. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon including the male members who joined the ladies for the afternoon. Peggy thanked Steve and Fiona for providing an enjoyable afternoon. Vera Seal organised the raffle and Jean Wells and her ladies served the tea and biscuits. The meeting was brought to a close with the singing of the club hymn.
