THE coffee morning organised by John Booth and Vera Seal continues to thrive with a membership of 62.This takes place in the Walter Gidney Pavillion every Tuesday from 9am until 11am. The men enjoy playing dominoes and the ladies play cards or relax for a chat over coffee and biscuits.
Joan Peacock organises the refreshments with the help of the ladies. There is a raffle with prizes generously donated by the members. Three outings are arranged each year, plus two fish and chip lunches. Peggy Gibbon organises the coaches. A Christmas party with entertainment is also enjoyed.
On Wednesday, the members had a day out in Gorleston. During the morning there was time for a browse round the shops and lunch. In the afternoon there was a visit to the theatre. A trip to Clacton will be the next outing.
