DIETING and stopping smoking were two topics that attracted attention at the Fun, Fit and Food Fair organised by Healthy Living - East Cambridgeshire(HLEC).
Entry to the fair, in the Elysian Hall at The Maltings, Ely, was free and between 200 and 300 people turned up.
"A lot of people were receptive to the primary care trust dietician," said Cathy Howlett, project development manager of HLEC.
The dietician, Helen Gibbs, is involved in formulating a strategy for the Government White Paper, Choosing Health.
Several visitors signed up on the spot for the stop smoking course - a step that people usually want to go away and think about first.
Raising awareness of the need for healthy living is the main thrust of the HLEC, which is funded by the Lottery.
