LITTLE Downham residents packed the village hall recently to watch the premiere of a film created entirely by young people from the village.

A View From the Clock Tower was put together over the summer months by the young film crew, who interviewed residents and filmed events like the Pymoor Show to capture the village's history and identity on film.

Produced in association with ADeC, Fincafilms and the

Little Downham Archive Group, the film is also available on DVD.

Claire Townsend, projects co-ordinator at ADeC, said: "There is a real sense of community in the parish and the huge turn-out shows how much people are interested in village history by watching the film the young people had worked so hard on."

She said the Local History and Archive Group for Little Downham provided invaluable support for the project, and that funding from LeAP Leader Plus had made the film a reality.
