LITTLE Downham Parish Council has been awarded Quality Council Status. The council is only the third in East Cambridgeshire to receive the award, which recognises good practice across a number of criteria, including council meetings, reports and accounts.

The council is only the third in East Cambridgeshire to receive the award, which recognises good practice across a number of criteria, including council meetings, reports and accounts.
At a gathering of the Parish Council and invited guests chief executive of East Cambridgeshire District Council John Hill presented the Quality Council certificate to parish council chairman Keith Norton.
Mr Norton said: "This accreditation is the highest accolade any Parish Council can achieve and confirms what Little Downham Parish Council has demonstrated over the years; that it strives to maintain quality services for the benefit of its community.
