A boy with a life-threatening disease will watch his father run the London Marathon to help people with his condition.
Cystic fibrosis sufferer Liam Badcock, seven, will be with his family to support dad Fraser, who is running the marathon for Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the UK's only national charity dedicated to all aspects of cystic fibrosis.
Mr Badcock, from Ely, is running the marathon for the second time and aiming to raise at least £2,000 for the charity.
He said: "It is a charity close to my heart, and I felt two years ago I should do something to help them towards their overall targets. So last year I ditched the sofa, crisps and fizzy drinks for a pair of cycling shorts, jelly beans and Lucozade and after six months training, eventually finished my first marathon in five and a half hours, raising £4,000 for the charity.
"This year I have set my target at £2,000 and with a whole year of training hope to run it in around four hours."
