President Sheila Knight welcomed members and guests to the meeting on Friday. The business of the evening was gone through prior to Yvonne Long introducing the speaker. Judith Keen spoke about painting on ceramics and gave a demonstration before inviting members to practicing on paper before painting the plate. This was to be glazed and fired before being presented back to the members as a memento. A selection of Judith's work was on display. Gwen Bridgeman thanked Judith for and enjoyable evening and was presented with a donation for her chosen charity. Refreshments were served and Sheila Knight organised the raffle. Winners in the competition for a colourful plate were in first place: Gwen Bridgeman; second: Shirley Bavester and third was Peggy Gibbon. The next meeting is on Friday, May 4 when the speaker will be Geoff Evans.
