AN Ely family lived only on rice for the day to raise money for charity.
Rob Hancock, wife Alison and children Ben (9), Grace (7) and five-year-old Isaac decided to give up other foods for the day to better appreciate the things they have.
Mr Hancock said: "It's just to understand that we have quite a bit in the way of things around us, like food and the quality of life."
Although the family have yet to decide which international development charity their money will go to, Ben hopes to raise enough money for a well for an African town or village, which will cost around £750.
Their current total stands at around £250.
