A MAN who stole almost £2,000 worth of lead from the Countess Free Church has admitted a string of offences. On 10 occasions, 26-year-old Carl Scarrow put fuel into a vehicle and left a garage without paying, on Thursday he asked Ely Magistrates to take those offences into consideration when he is sentenced.
Scarrow, 26, of Broad Piece, Soham, has further admitted stealing metal from the Environment Agency, breaching a four-month suspended jail sentence, stealing meat from the Co-op in Littleport, and driving without insurance or a licence. Sentencing was adjourned until August 14, and Scarrow was remanded in custody.
