DRINKING too much cola led to Ely man Scott Morris becoming hyperactive and assaulting three friends.
Morris - who has learning difficulties and suffers from cerebral palsy - kicked out at two people and hit another when he lost his temper.
But, Ely magistrates were told, Morris and his three companions are now the best of friends again.
Morris, 34, of Chiefs Street, Ely, admitted assaulting Steve Sammons, and asked for assaults on Anthony Murfitt and Susan Murfitt to be taken into consideration.
The four friends had been shopping in Ely on September 23 before the incident, explained prosecutor Matthew Bradbury.
"Morris lost his temper when it was clear the others wanted to go home, and he was not invited to go back with them. He was told to go home for his tea."
"He is disappointed he assaulted his friends, and has apologised," said solicitor Jacqui Baldwin.
"He drank too much cola, he knows it makes him hyperactive, and it is something he must look at, and make sure it does not happen again."
The court gave Morris a six-month conditional discharge.
