POLICE seized almst 300 bttles f alchl frm children during a half-term crackdwn.
Officers set up patrls in East Cambridgeshire, Suth Cambs and Cambridge city between Friday, February 8 and Sunday, February 17.
The initiative, which was spnsred by the Hme Office, was set up t target under-age drinking.
Additinal patrls saw fficers seizing alchl, cntacting parents and taking sme children hme after a large number f yuths were fund with alchl n the cunty's streets.
Insp Chris Prter said: "It is extremely disappinting t find s many children n the streets in pssessin f alchl."
Officers are reminding peple that it is illegal t sell r buy alchl fr anyne under 18 and during the campaign ne licensed premises was given a £80 fixed penalty ntice fr selling alchl t an under 18.
