ENGLISH Democrat candidate Graham Murphy said tonight that "any result is a good result".
The first-time Parliamentary candidate, who has served on Peterborough City Council, says he has been pleasantly surprised by the reaction from voters across NE Cambs.
He said: "In other elections in the past there has been a lot of negativity but in this campaign everyone has been keen to participate, whatever their political views are. It is good to see that if nothing else.
"This is our first election in NE Cambs so no one is expecting miracles. Usually you have to stand in a few elections before you start to make progress.
