Of course, it will be for our own good as are all of these measures that nobody wants or votes for. I've never actually found Cambridge to be a particularly welcoming place at the best of times and having to pay to be there would make it even less so.

If they intend to take specific measures to keep the people of the county away it makes you wonder if it is the right place to be our county town. The name shouldn't be a problem; when the Isle of Ely was a separate entity its seat of government was in March, a town with reasonable road links and excellent rail connections. Perhaps we should give March serious consideration as Cambridgeshire's county town. It would free up a lot of valuable land on Castle Hill and provide some work in an area that can do with it. We could all imitate Sir Alan Amstrad and say to Cambridge, "You're sacked!
