I MUST congratulate the Ely Standard on a truly delightful photograph of Anna Hitchin and her two children on the meadow land surrounding Ely Cathedral. Such a picture could grace any tourist guide to the city. However, I am baffled why this was used to illustrate comments on the suggested Broad Street car park extension.
Why is Ms Hitchin posed in the foreground of the cathedral surrounded by wide open grassland so very far away from the proposed extension? Certainly she would not have looked so fetching pictured by the long-stay car park on to which the additional parking spaces might abut, so perhaps this was the reason? Alternatively, you may have been duped by the Liberal Democrat department of misinformation.
