I HAVE lived in Ely for 30 years and have always been happy and proud to live in a lovely area. Until last week. I was in a local coffee bar and overheard a group, who were obvious visitors, talking about Ely - saying it looked 'run down'. The topic of the conversation was the eyesore in Market Street.
