THE Queen Adelaide roundabout at the end of King's Avenue has been completed for over a year now. Is there a story behind the fact that it can't be opened immediately? Otherwise I think it is a huge waste of tax payers' money to have built it only so that people can use it for parking space. Surely opening it would relieve congestion in the city and it would also reduce greenhouse gases from those who don't actually need to go through the city centre. If the reason is traffic complaints on King's Avenue then the roundabout should never have been built in the first place and if it is waiting for the housing development to be completed then it seems absurd.
