WE wept at the news that Liam has lost his battle for life. We were never privileged to have met him, but followed his progress through the media. The obvious stature of this young man was there for all to see, it shone like a beacon through his achievements in a way that was most humbling to see. Liam, like many, we took you to our hearts. It was clear that had you lived you would have gone on to do even greater things. You crammed into your short life things that many of us never manage to achieve. Our thoughts are with your parents, your brother and all your family. What an absolute honour for your mum and dad to repeat the words 'Liam, our son.' This world is surely a poorer place for your passing.
