I WRITE regarding the article in the Ely Standard on large shops coming to the city.
There is a definitely a great need for these types of shops in the city because there is so much housing going up and we need a better variety of shops. At the moment, we have plenty of coffee shops, estate agents, building societies and charity shops which are no good for everyday shopping.
If you need anything from a bigger store you have to go to Cambridge or Newmarket, and then while you are there you may as well do your other shopping.
So come on, let's get some life back into our city, the councillors are elected to represent us and our feelings and I hope they will.
