I WAS driving to Cambridge recently when I saw a sign that restored my faith in the generosity of pub landlords. With the impending ban on the use of tobacco in places of work, and consequently bars and pubs, it was nice to see that someone was fighting back a bit. Cigarettes are now over 25p each, so if someone is lightening the financial load for smokers they should only be grateful. This particular sign announced that you could 'Smoke Free' at the pub. I bet he doesn't give his beer away, though.
