WE all know that teenagers can be a little difficult at times, but some of them may have an excuse over the next six weeks or so. This year's GCSEs started on Monday. In today's ultra competitive world it is quite important that they achieve their best and with the help of the dedicated staff at Soham Village College there's no reason they can't. Even so, they will probably feel the pressure sooner or later, so tread carefully when you come across them. Not only do they need good incomes to be able to afford a roof in their home town but also we need them to pay some taxes to pay for our pensions!

They got a fair bit of tension out of their systems last Thursday when they officially left school. There were girls in hooped tights, angel wings and bunches in their hair and boys in tights and make-up all wearing shirts covered with autographs. For anyone who didn't catch the spectacle they couldn't have missed the cacophony of air horns that echoed all around the town.

Now it will be the silence of the exam room broken only by the creaking of facts and figures as they are prized from the deep recesses of lots of memories.
