I?AM a residential social worker and ICT co-ordinator at Downham Lodge School. I am writing on behalf of all the pupils and staff to thank your readers for their very generous contributions to our Computers for School voucher collection.
As a small school, we often find it difficult to collect coupons in a large enough quantity to be able to buy equipment that we need and we are therefore extremely grateful for any contributions made by the local community. On this occasion, the contributions have helped us achieve a total collection amount of 11,331 for vouchers. This is a number way in excess of our expectations and around three times the amount we collected last year! Because of this amazing response, we are now able to buy a digital camera. This will be used for work and assessment in school, and out of school to keep a record of activities that the boys take part in.
Once again, thank you so much for your contribution to our school and we look forward to your continuing support in the years to come.
