SOHAM lost a character last week when Bob Ford's troubles ended quietly. Bob was always a man with an opinion and he usually arrived at it from a direction that nobody else had thought of. It was usually delivered with a big grin and a chuckle. We can't afford to lose philosophers of his originality, and we can't afford to lose good company, either. We'll remember Bob with a smile, but it will be tinged with sadness.
