I WRITE in response to the letter in last week's Ely Standard 'Change Of Use Is A Concern.' This person seems to be under the impression that all people who live in
'social housing' cause trouble. I would like to point out that this is not the case. Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to own their own house and have to rely on housing associations to house them. Many look after the house and area they live in well. Yes, I agree some do not and do set out to cause trouble, but we are not all like this. I have seen many mortgaged houses in a mess and people who live in them also cause trouble and end up in court. So please do not tar us all with the same brush and come down from your ivory tower and live in the real world. It only takes you to lose your job and you too could be living in social housing.
