YOUNGSTERS celebrating Halloween often don't realise that they can frighten elderly people living alone by just calling at their homes for harmless Trick or Treat.
Now the Ely Standard has teamed up with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Distraction Burglary and Rogue Task Force to help protect the district's elderly and vulnerable residents, giving them the chance to safely opt out of the celebrations.
We have published a poster which can be cut out and displayed in homes telling callers "No Trick or Treat Here".
This poster tells youngsters to avoid these houses when they are out on their rounds for Halloween.
