THOSE of us who occasionally wander down to Julius Martin Lane on a Saturday to watch Soham Town Rangers battle away will miss a familiar face in future.
One man who didn't wander down occasionally, but made a point of getting there whenever there was a game won't be there any more. Tony Isaacson, one of the club's true stalwarts, has finally lost his long, brave battle with the evil that is cancer.
However many people come through the gate when the Town are playing there will be an extra spectator somewhere. Tony, ever optimistic, will be willing them to win yet again and those of us who knew him will be thankful that we had that privilege.
