REGARDING the letter from your correspondent Tim Middleton published in the Ely Standard on December 4 ('So frustrated with this parking farce') - I have predicted three facts for Ely since the 1990s:
A need for multi-storey car parks; a hotel and park-and-ride
I feel that the East Cambridgeshire District Council's environment and transport committee must consider that a multi-storey car park locally would ideally suit the local communities. People can use this facility all day without having to find alternative parking. It is a case of spending extra money now to facilitate the car parks already built. As for Angel Drove, why not use these facilities in conjunction with Tesco with a discount for spending at the store, especially if the store is extended.
