MR Holden needs to realise that things have changed in the world, let me inform him that steam trains no longer run, we don't have bus conductors, and the local 'bobby' doesn't walk around and salute. I served my country from 1971 to 1993, I suspect that his service was the compulsory National Service, so don't try playing that card. Our future is in the hands of people much, much younger than we are. These younger people have a real feeling and desire to look after this city and planet, unlike him, they are the only people who should decide on the way we plan things. Mr Tyrell is out to make money and for no other reason so let's put that to bed straight away. Eddie Holden is outrageous when he wants to know how long someone has lived here, what has that got to do with anything? He admits that he is from "outside". If he wants to make a sensible contribution to the way forward he should offer his experience not display arrogance on a scale that is quite staggering. If Eddie Holden lives in a house without heating, bikes everywhere, has no internet connection, has no reliable electrical supply, has no clean water supply or anything else that has developed in his lifetime, then he may be forgiven but, for the rest of us, I find the concern of younger people very encouraging and to be applauded.
