IT'S time East Cambridgeshire District Council woke up. Ely is so behind with stores and small individual shops that people go out of Ely to shop. Of course, we need a Lidl and much more. The small shops are only charity shops and estate agents. We have no decent men's or ladies clothing shop. You only have to drive into Norfolk to see we are behind. For example, Dereham, which has Lidl, Tesco, Morrisons and Somerfield, Homebase and Halfords.
Wake up Ely. We have all the new houses and nowhere to shop.
