WITH the amount of paper flopping through the letter box over the past week or two it is difficult to miss the fact that there's a bit of an election happening today. Not only are we having a change round at East Cambs, but half of Soham is voting for new town council members. In the south there are 16 people standing for eight seats, while in the north there aren't enough candidates, so there is no election.

Some people say that we shouldn't vote because if you do, you only encourage them, but I think we should all make our crosses - at least then we have the right to have a good old moan now and again. And some of us like a good old moan. Also, for us at this end of town, it's another reason to visit The Cherry Tree.
