I READ an article in a paper at the weekend that made me realise how lucky we are to live in Soham. Places like Littleport (are there any places like Littleport?), Ely, Waterbeach and Newmarket all have railway stations. We, in Soham, don't.
How does that make us lucky? Because according to the press article, Britain has the highest rail fares in Europe. So without a station we don't have to pay them . How lucky can you get!
