LAST week, one of Soham's gentlemen slipped gently from us. Jack Palmer succumbed to the illness that had slowed him down physically, but couldn't dampen his spirit. We will always remember Jack as a stickler for protocol and the correct procedure albeit in professional, committee or personal dealings, but we will always remember the twinkle in his eye, too, and his generosity of spirit.
We all share the grief of Sheila and the family and all feel privileged to have known Jack.
