A letter in the Ely Standard on January 10 referred to the street lights in Ely. We compared those with ours at Littleport and found Littleport's to be the most colourful. Very well done. No disrespect to Ely lights meant, so thanks to all who had the job of installing them.
Now, let us not forget the postmen, paper delivery boys and girls and the shop keepers for getting up early to get the papers out on display and not, least of all, our wonderful rubbish collectors. Thanks to you all.
STAN AND DOROTHY SPENCER, Sandy's Crescent, Littleport
