I UNDERSTAND that disabled drivers could be fined for parking illegally. Are disabled drivers the only ones who park in the loading bays? Perhaps our PCSOs would like to make sure that the disabled bays in Ely are only used by disabled people. My wife is disabled and we go to Ely a couple of times each week. We usually find that the parking spaces allocated to the disabled are filled with vehicles not displaying a disabled badge. I have seen work vans and a Post Office van parked in the disabled bays. The cars all over the street are not parallel parked. They park on a diagonal, often over the footpath and sticking out into the street. The traffic control officers walk by and take no notice. Perhaps a

little enforcement of the rest of the parking rules would allow disabled people to park in the disabled space.
