I’m standing for election to Soham Town Council only – on this occasion

I have delivered my Soham Town Council election papers to East Cambridgeshire District Council’s offices.
I have not delivered General Election papers because, after taking personal and political factors into account, I have decided not to stand for Parliament this time.
Many people have wanted me to stand again – as an independent here in SE Cambs – and I am sorry to disappoint my friends and supporters.
However, I shall continue to campaign for what I and my friends and supporters believe to be right.
So far as the district council is concerned, the electors of Soham South showed last year that their preference was for district councillors to be party political persons: so be it.
