I WOULD like to respond to the letter from the chief executive of East Cambridgeshire District Council that appeared in the Ely Standard on November 9.
If Mr Hill was able to get his contractors to do their jobs correctly by making sure every property received a black plastic bag then we, the public, would be able to respond to his plea to recycle more rubbish.
Again today, some houses in Linden Way failed to get plastic bags until telephone calls were made.
