Personally, I never was much for running. Not for the sake of it, anyway, I was known to chase a ball at times, though. Towards the end it was usually a funny shaped one being thrown about by the other members of Ely Rugby Club's second team. I heard at the weekend that the old rivals, Newmarket, have had a bit of success lately. Their under-15s were joint winners of the East of England Under-15 Cup which is a strange result, really. Apparently on the day it was just impossible to choose between Newmarket and Barking, so both parties decided to share the cup. This is no mean achievement for Newmarket as Barking are south of England champions. So well done the Under 15s and especially the lads from Soham and Isleham in the team.
