Ely Rotary clubs’ annual collection with Santa raised more than £6,000 for good causes
May I take the opportunity to thank the people of Ely and those visiting on Saturdays for their generosity during the Rotary Clubs of Ely collection.
As a result we will have more than £6,000 to donate to local charities and good causes.
We would also like to thank the Vindis Group at St Ives for providing a suitably painted vehicle to enable us to tow the sleigh and Santa around the streets over 11 nights.
Also, 1st Call Hire & Sales provided a generator to power the lighting and music.
Without their support we would not have managed to reach so many people.

Joining the two Ely Rotary clubs were members of the Inner Wheel Club of Ely and the Isle of Ely Lions Club and some volunteers to whom we are also most grateful.
