I THANK the Ely lighting committee for their efforts in bringing Ely to life at the run-up to Christmas, working in unkind weather and making Christmas go with a swing and seeing all the people turn out on the night. So well done everyone who helped on the night. Also a big 'thank you' for the churches for putting on the live nativity play and all the work that went into it on the day. Well done each and every one of you. It was something Ely can be proud of.
