I WOULD to correct something printed in your newspaper last week regarding the needle scare at the Parsons Lane Play area in Littleport.
In total, over a period of several weeks, one dozen needles were found by council staff, not dozens, as reported in your story.
Each incident was reported to police who carried out a number of spot checks in the play area resulting in at least one arrest.
The council would like to reassure the public that they are doing everything in their power to keep the play areas safe for the user, but would ask that you be vigilant.
