A QUICK update for Mr Woollard. Sir, you are categorically not "beginning to win this one". Your ridiculous little campaign to protect a few acres of black soil will come to nothing, as you must know. Moreover, your increasingly desperate letters have taken the place of that other local entertainer Mr Holden, who seems to have gone quiet after putting his foot in it a few weeks back. The National Trust's brilliant and nationally significant plan to re-create a few hundred acres of fen will win the day, and the people of Cambridgeshire and beyond will love it. Consolidate your losses Mr Woollard, and wake up. We will not starve after the loss of your fields, and neither shall the Lodes be Lost. I'm sure you mean well, so please come to your senses.
