MY friend Cristina Holden and myself, who both live in Mepal, strongly support your article in the Ely Standard that a Lidl Supermarket should be established in Ely.
As senior citizens we find Lidl's to be very competitive with its rivals and good value for money. At present, we have to travel to March for our nearest outlet. The greengrocery is always fresh, even on a Monday, and at the moment there is a reduction of 70 per cent on all fruit, veg and salads, which as far as we know, no other supermarket has offered and the quality cannot be beaten.
We would like to be added to the list of supporters and wish Lidl good luck. Hopefully, it won't be long before we can shop at Lidl in Ely.
