PEOPLE will often say that they would like to spend their money in Soham, but there aren't many shops any more. That's true up to a point, but only up to a point. There certainly are shops, but not as many, or the variety we once had. There is no way that we will ever get the volume and range of retailers back, but it might be a good idea to support those we do have left. If you can't call to mind what shops we still have, it might be a good idea to call in at The Pavilion on Tuesday when the Soham Association of Commerce and Trade are holding an open evening, from 7.30pm. You may well come away surprised at what is still available in town.
