I do not share Mr Coppola s optimism regarding the proposed art installation by Lulu Quinn. The installation would show images and sounds of running water a few metres away from the very river they are intended to imitate. Would it not be more convenient

The installation would show images and sounds of running water a few metres away from the very river they are intended to imitate.
Would it not be more convenient to simply let people gaze upon the river itself, rather than to distract them from it?
