IN just over a fortnight we will have yet another bank holiday. This one is the biggest one in Soham for the whole year; it's Carnival Day. Yes, May 28 will again see a parade of floats, crowds of people and a brilliant, sunny day (almost certainly). One of the features of the carnival in recent years has been the Soham Townsperson Of The Year Award for the Richard Spendlove Trophy. To nominate your person of the year, all you need to do is write a brief piece and send it to Kim Botting, chairman of the Carnival Committee, at 44 Martin's Close, Soham. Alternately, you can hand it in at Brenda's Florists.
Come on, there must be someone who you think has done something worthwhile in the last 12 who deserves to be recognised.
