I WRITE in response to the Ely Standard article on Swine Flu on August 6.

It has never bothered the church before, so what makes Swine Flu any different from other diseases that spread through sharing the chalice at communion. I would have thought the adoption of dipping the wafer into the chalice was practised long ago as it's more hygienic all round.

It is not the NHS we should be worried about it's the irresponsible people who spread germs and put others at risk by going out shopping when they have Swine Flu or someone else in the house has the virus.
